Streptococcus B

Received a call from my Gynae on Thursday, she said the test results found that my yellow discharge have bacteria which is call Streptococcus B. A bacteria which is very common for all healthy women, but not for pregnant mothers, as it will harm the newborns. So once the baby got infected, it can be fatal.

I think she is concern because she scared there would be tear in the water bag and the bacteria might just infect the baby. So she said she can give me antibiotics drip, it can be during labor and then immediate attention to the baby or fix a date and have Cesarean. She intend to give me Penicillin, however, i am allergic to Penicillin since birth. Plus i am also allergic to a lot of antibiotics and painkillers. So she suggested that i should go for a Drug allergy patch test at the National Skin Centre to confirm what other medicines i am allergy to and try to be safe.

I have read from forums and heard from a real mother whom had experienced this before. There are lower chances baby will get infect, but some may be infected by the bacteria once the water bag burst and the baby drank the Virgina fluid during labor. So in fact, there are possibilities that baby will still be infect by it. There are mothers suggested Cesarean, because the chances are not high. I am in both dilemma now, on whether to natural birth or cesarean. But also depends on the bacteria levels now. My Gynae mentioned if the bacteria level is high, possible chances are to do a cesarean. She asked me to wait for the Nurse to call on the allergy patch test.

Just received the call today, the nurse said i must go and fix an appointment and gave me numbers to call to enquire on whether they require doctors referral letter in order to proceed. So i have to call on Monday morning and get back to the nurse.

Now i left only less than 3 months to see our precious boy to be out in this world. I am pretty excited and hope that he would be healthy too! Time really flies. Just couldn't wait. HAHA. I will stay positive and have to be happy and wait for the arrival of this naughty little boy and give him all my hugs and kisses. :)

22 Weeks

I am now in my 22 weeks pregnancy stage. Had followed up and did a detailed scan yesterday and baby is all healthy. But my Amniotic Fluid is slightly reduced, so i am worried. As it may lead to losing the baby. Baby kicked have been slightly weak for the past two days. Only yesterday when i kept drinking water, then he start to kick abit harder. I had mild diarrhea this morning, and now kept drinking water to replenish the fluid and hope that he would be able to pee more.

My gynae wanted to prescribe me low dosage of Aspirin, but am afraid that i might be allergic to it, so now i have to drink more fluid and always lay on the side, just to make sure there's blood flow to the baby and he can breathe in more oxygen. So i need more bedrest. Gynae also started to give me Fish oils, so i have to be more cautious about my diet and make sure i really drink alot of water.

I really hope that baby would be fine and that my Amniotic fluid can increase until my next appointment on 23rd August. Every time, there bound to be something new to make me worry. I really hope that my boy can see the world, me and my husband when the due date arrives.

Please bless me and my child.

Baby Clock Changed

Haha. Recently i found that my boy seems to have more genes from his Daddy. Able to make a loud thud when his daddy tried to listen to his heartbeat and feel his kick. He gave a very big kick last night and my husband was so excited. He's so amazed and he just can't stop smiling. lol. Usually my baby will start to kick me around 10pm. Now... He switched time already, and switched to 11.30pm. Oh my gawd! So late! And last night, whole night i couldn't sleep, just because he just couldn't stop kicking me. lol. And when i lay on the sides too long, i will feel sored. So the combination of soreness and his kicking. Really made me stayed up the whole night. Feels like a panda now.

Yep, talking about his daddy's genes. He loves to play drum, loves to play soccer and of course he loves to stay up late. So i guess our boy already starts to have his genes at such a young stage in my tummy. LOL! :p

Well, i am not sure what kind of genes he would get from me, but i hope that he can sing (just like me), bubbly, friendly, obedient, healthy and more and more. Of course, health is the most important. So that he would be able to go for all kinds of adventure which we would be bringing him to explore. :) Of course, i will teach him some values, so that he would be a upright and full of justice person and and and wise person. :)

Talking about these, just makes me so happy and excited. I just couldn't help to rubbed my tummy and kept talking to my baby. :)

20 Weeks and 17 more weeks to go

Time really passed very fast. Today is my officially 20 weeks of pregnant now. Wow! That's all i can feel now. i have 17 more weeks to go and we would be able to see our baby boy. So exciting and at the same time panic. Because i am not so sure i would be able to handle the pain and hope that the experience would be a good one and smooth one.

I couldn't sleep well these few weeks, as i have to sleep on sideways and cannot sleep on the back. My two knees are so sored, not cramp. It is sored. I have to sit up and stretch my leg abit. Sometimes i have to sit up and sleep. So that when my knees felt loosen then i can lay back sideways and sleep. But i am glad that baby is always kicking me everyday. I am really happy. As everyday is so peaceful and i try not to let any negative thoughts enter my brain. HAHA!

You know our baby is so cute and funny, he gave my husband and my younger sister a good kick at their ear. HAHA. They said they heard something like a drum sound. Like a "kung" sound inside the tummy. Now the baby began to familiar with them. So they are so happy and thrilled, my sister even went to bought baby clothes for our baby. LOL.

26th July 2010 would be 21 week and would be going for the detailed scan. Hope everything would be fine and normal for baby. :) Hope baby would be a cheerful and bubbly boy and healthy is the most important!

I hope i would be the best mother to my baby and the best wife to my husband. :)

Baby Kicks

Finally, now baby have moved up to my upper abdominal, which is at the belly button there. I can felt the kick whenever i lay back and rest. It is so amazing to feel his kick everyday. I think even if i feel the pain, i will still feel the happiness. At least i know he is doing fine inside my tummy. HAHA!

Now, i am at 19 weeks and 2 days, and wow.. now is July and i have exactly about 4 months and i can get to see our baby boy. hehehe.. I am so excited. Although my estimated due date would be 30th November 2010. But i think baby will still come out early. So i hope and wish that baby can come out on 25th November 2010. It is a Thanksgiving day. Hehehe.. Hope my baby can grant and feel my wishes. Hee...

Well, i have been having flu since Monday. It was so terrible feeling, because i can't take any medicine and i have to recover from the natural way. Last night i even cried infront of my husband, because i felt so terrible. My head was so heavy, i sneeze non-stop and i kept having the on off chills feeling. I have to wrapped myself and force my sweat out. So that i can recover faster, i am also afraid if i don't recover fast, baby will be harm. So i kept drinking water, popped more Bioflavournoid C and sleep more. Today i felt much better, but still need more time to recover. Because i am having cough as well. Poor me. I also wish i have a very good immune system and won't get sick easily. But what to do when a pregnant mother is prone to colds and flu.

Hope i can recover faster!
