So the next day morning (16th November), i suddenly felt that i should wake up and bathe and wash my hair. After i came out, just when i was about having my breakfast (i haven't got the chance to touch it), my gynae came and checked and said my cervix have dilated at 1cm. She also said i am still having regular contractions from the CTG Scan. But my naughty boy still don't want to come out. So she ask me whether i want to be induce or go home. So i chose to induced. Then she asked me to proceed to the labour ward, so she will just burst my water bag and we will wait for the labour to kick in.
When i reach the labour ward, i saw alot of mummies also waiting to deliver their child. Looks like the nurses and midwives would be extremely busy.
The nurse gave me the robe and asked me to change. Then she proceed to ask me some questions and ask me to read about the epidural consent form on the side effects and sign on it. Then she told me the whole procedure she is going to do and then make sure i am aware of it, then we start.
First, she insert something to my anus to let me pass motion (Incredible, it takes only seconds for me to rush to the toliet), you wouldn't want to poo poo during pushing. Then she shaved a bit for me and then a doctor came and inject the Epidural to my spine nerves. The Epidural injection was not painful at all. It's just a tinge feelings. Then my gynae came in to break the water bag and said will come in to check again. I didn't felt a gush of water, just only felt something have poke my water bag. Before that, they have to give me intravenous Drip of antibiotic, because i have Streptococcus B, so just to make sure baby won't get infected. Now everything done and i just have to wait for my cervix to dilate.
So my husband came and support me. Then i felt very hungry, because i didn't have my breakfast. HAHA! So they made toast and gave me Milo to drink. After few hours of waiting i felt asleep. Then suddenly i felt something flowing from down there, then the nurse came and check, then i realised that i have passed urine uncontrollably (one of the side effects from epidural).
Then at around 2pm, my cervix have dilated at only about 2cm. Then my husband and i predicted our boy would be out in the evening. Then there was one moment that i felt the contractions, it was rather pain and i now understand the pain of labour, then the nurse just asked me to turn to my right to let the epidural flow. Then the pain was gone. Then at about 4plus, the nurse came and checked and my cervix have dilated at 4cm. Then at about 5plus, they said i am ready to be push to the birth room. The birth room was extremely cold!!!! There's a small tv and we watched street fighters and then after the movie ended, my gynae came in and said i am fully dilated and can get ready to push. Oh my god, it was merely only about 45 mins and my cervix can fully dialted from 4cm to 10cm. My gynae said it will take about an hour for my boy to come out. Looks like the street fighter movie excited my boy. LOL.
So i just follow what the midwife instructions by pushing when contraction starts, then after several pushes. After 30mins, the midwife said she can call my gynae and can see the baby head. Then i quickly talk to my tummy and tell my baby that the gynae is coming, and he must faster come out. HAHA, after my gynae sat down and asked me to push, very fast, i have delivered my boy at 6plus, just as we predicted. I didn't notice he was out until i open my eyes and saw he was on my chest and at that moment i was abit surprised on how amazing it can be to give birth to a little life of my own. I couldn't digest and still felt overwhelmed until the next day then i can accept it. HAHA.
So my gynae said i have natural tear and did the stitches for me. Lucky she didn't cut, as natural tear already so irritated and very uncomfortably pain for me after the epidural wear off. So the midwife clean my baby and me, and then bring us all back to my room. Then everyone was waiting to see our bundle of joy.
The experience throughout the pregnancy and the delivery was so amazing and time really flies so fast. I am happy that i am officially a mummy now. :)
